Custom Work - Whirley Gig #2This is my second wind driven sculpture. The idea here was that the frame would rotate into the wind and the inner water-drop shape would spin in the wind.The Front Range of Colorado is a fertile testing ground for wind sculptures. With winds regularly at 20-40 mph I was quickly able to see the need for a redesign of this idea. Though it looked festive like a Christmas ornament it was just too wild in the strong wind. So I modified it and it became Whirley Gig #3.
